Welcome to Wendwater, currently under the rein of the Worrell family. I haven't decided on a cover yet but hopefully I'll sort something out for the next house. The updates for this may take a bit longer to publish because Fayhaven is still my main focus. I just wanted something a bit more relaxed to play now and then. Anyway on with the update.
Samuel and Anna were settling in nicely and Michelle often joined them for breakfast. Samuel insisted on grilled cheese and Anna being a proper lady went along with whatever her husband wanted.
Anna found out she was with child and rushed downstairs to tell Samuel
Samuel was very happy "Hopefully it will be a boy"
"Yes but a girl would be nice as well"
"Of course dear. Whatever it is, they will get the best we can give them"
Samuel had acquired a job in the natural scientist career and soon buckled down to some skilling
And was soon climbing up the career ladder. He loved being able to provide for his family. The kingdom thought that a working king was a very good idea.
Anna's pregnancy was coming along swimmingly and Samuel was still insisting on the grilled cheese.
Anna had started to sneak food at night with the help of Michelle
"I'll have salmon tonight, Michelle"
"Yes Ma'am. The king has requested his usual"
"I noticed. Just put any leftovers in the fridge, they won't come in wrong"
"Yes ma'am. Ill be off now Ma'am, I've still got the upstairs to do"
"Certainly, and I don't know how many times I've asked you to call me Anna"
"It isn't proper Ma'am"
Michelle quietly got up and slid her book back on the shelf. She turned, curtsied to the Queen and hurriedly left the room. Anna shook her head a little "I'll get her to relax eventually"
Samuel was quickly getting promoted. He was very happy with his new kingdom and home life
That night Anna went into labor.
"Get Michelle!!!" Anna almost screamed. She had never felt pain like this
"Yes dear. I'll be right back" Samuel rushed from the room to fetch Michelle
'You can do this Anna. Come on' she thought to herself. She had to be strong.
After a couple of hours, lots of screaming and unceremoniously shutting the King from the room Michelle had helped Anna deliver a young prince. Samuel named him Heath and promptly announced to the kingdom that a heir had been born.
Anna wanted nothing more than to stay with her son all day and night but Michelle and Samuel insisted that he sleep in the nursery and she at least let Michelle take over night feeds until Anna was at full strength. She agreed somewhat unwillingly
Before long it was Heath's birthday
He grew up very well and according to his mother he is the cutest thing she has ever seen. Plans for a royal garden to honor the new heir have been put into place
Anna had starting teaching Heath how to talk. He was very stubborn but with a lot of patience Anna finally got there. Samuel and Anna were very proud of Heath and quickly moved onto teaching him how to walk
Samuel had appointed the weekends for different family's to come over and voice they're opinions and concerns. Mary and Charles Serling were very happy and had no complaints, they were very pleased to see the new heir and future king
Anna soon discovered that Heath wouldn't be an only child. She was very happy that Heath would have someone to play with. Samuel prayed it was a girl to avoid rivalry over the throne. Anna was convinced that that wouldn't happen.
Thanks for reading, join us next time for the Serling family.
